Program Description

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch (YBGR) is a non-profit, fully accredited, comprehensive mental health services organization providing psychiatric residential treatment for emotionally disturbed youth.  YBGR youth experience the benefits of individual cognitive-behavioral, family, group, recreation and equine therapies, psychotropic medications when needed, special educational services and pastoral care, all under the direction of board certified psychiatrists.

Services Provided:

     COA Accredited, licensed by State of MT as a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)

     Clinical oversight by board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and clinical psychologist

     24-hour staffed medical clinic

     Accredited K-12 School, with special education teachers, Individual Education Plans (IEP’s), school psychologist and vocational classes

     SAIL treatment model focuses on helping emotionally damaged kids recover from the effects of adverse   childhood experiences and life impacting situations, or better deal with the impact of biologically based emotional disturbance

     Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) teaches youth coping skills through Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Distress Tolerance and Emotional Regulation

     Weekly therapy to include:  Individual, Family, Group and Recreational therapy lead by Master’s level therapists

     Chemical Dependency programming

     Guest housing for family visits
